We believe that every student has the potential to be a leader, however they shouldn’t have to choose between adding leadership skills to their resume and being able to afford college. Donations to the center can help create and maintain leadership certificates and facilitations (including facility spaces), provide scholarships and assistantships for undergraduate and graduate students, and assist with sponsoring events.
There are a variety of ways you can donate to Cal Poly's Center for Leadership and support student leadership opportunities on campus. Here are some of our current fundraising priorities and ways you can support those.
|
- Sponsor a series for 15 to 20 Cal Poly Students - $2,000
- Purchase True Colors booklets for an Emerging Leadership Series student or an entire class - $15 to $300
- Sponsor (or partially sponsor) a Peer Leader to participate in an Alternative Breaks Trip and co-facilitate the Emerging Leadership Series curriculum throughout the trip - $100 to $1,000
|
- Sponsor one of the meals for students (breakfast, lunch, or afternoon snack)
- Sponsor (or partially sponsor) a keynote speaker
|
|
|
- Support the fall Peer Leader Retreat - $100 to $1,500
- An overnight retreat where the Peer Leader team creates goals for the year, builds their team, and more
- Purchase Leadership Resources and Books for our library
- Consider sponsoring or endowing a Peer Leader role
- We pay our Peer Leaders to work 5 to 10 hours a week at $14 an hour
- This is a great option either for individual donors or for companies to donate or sponsor.
