Positional Leadership Series

The Center for Leadership, Fraternity and Sorority Life, and Clubs and Organizations are collaborating to put on a five-week, two hours per week, Positional Leadership Series. Students who participate in the PLS will demonstrate increased leadership competency related to positional leadership roles they hold or aspire to hold (on or off campus). This certificate will increase students’ confidence, self-efficacy, and toolkit in order to start or continue being an impactful positional leader. We believe that equity and social justice are inherent parts of leadership and thus have incorporated these topics into all four weeks of the series. Students who take this application-based certificate will learn about how to use their position of power to be equitable leaders who have good intent and make an impact that is meaningful and serves beyond themselves. Our hope is that this certificate will also teach you how to use and address certain topics in groups that you lead.
