Peer Leader: Overall Peer Leader General Responsibilities

Overall Peer Leader General Responsibilities: Peer Leaders work under the supervision and guidance of the Center for Leadership Coordinator and graduate staff. After participating in leadership training, Peer Leaders will be an active and engaged member of the Center for Leadership team including but not limited to:

  • Day to day office operations –Supporting each other and the whole team and warmly welcoming our student community.
  • Participate in outreach, including tabling, and events that share the amazing impact the Center for Leadership offers:
    • SLO Days
    • WOW
    • Mustang Family Weekend
    • Open House 
    • UU /Dexter lawn tabling 
    • And so many more opportunities
  • Attending and supporting all large scale Center for Leadership events/programs, as well as Leadership & Service events: 
    • Student Leadership Institute 
    • LEAD Awards
    • Large speakers/panels 
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings (1.5-2hrs), ongoing professional development, and retreats
  • Engage with the Coordinator/GA's for ongoing advising and support 
  • Assist with hiring processes (Center for Leadership and possibly Leadership & Service
  • Help plan and facilitate team building and enrichment activities
